Best Lunch In Wilmington, NC

Whenever Alicia and I have meetings, more often than not they are lunch meetings. This gives us the opportunity to chow down on some local grub while also discussing our ideas. When considering spots for a good lunch meeting, three restaurants immediately came to mind: The Wayfarer Delicatessen on South Front St. and Chops Deli with three locations in Downtown Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, and Monkey Junction along with The Dockside on Airlie Road by Wrightsville Beach.
The Wayfarer Delicatessen and Chops Deli are two of my favorite sandwich stops in downtown Wilmington. I know what you’re probably thinking: anyone can make a sandwich. You’re right, but these guys know how to make it right every time. If you think I’m bluffing go see for yourself. If you find yourself on the North end of Front Street, dip into Chops Deli and remember these three words. Get. The. Plymouth – it’s essentially Thanksgiving in between two pieces of bread. If you end up on South Front St, give The Wayfarer a try. Their meatloaf sandwich and ‘smac-du-jour will put your mama’s to shame. Unless your mama’s is the best in the world, in that case it may be a tie.
There are some days when I just need to be outside, even if only to sit and have lunch. Those are the days when The Dockside is the perfect lunchtime getaway. Located on Airlie Rd, before the drawbridge to Wrightsville Beach, The Dockside provides locals and tourists alike with a delicious meal and a view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Plates of their tsunami shrimp appetizer or a fresh catch sandwich with a side of their handmade chips never disappoint while the fresh air rejuvenates your soul making this lunch meeting the best one you’ve ever had.

What you're saying..
Thank you, honestly, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart for giving this gift to the "frantic families" in the world. God Bless you! Now, if you'll excuse me I need to go dig in to my "Oh-so-easy Turkey Tetrazzini" (it was a YUM!)
