Gift Shop toothpaste?

I'm in Orlando, covering the Pillsbury Bake-off (R) and discovered last night as I readied myself for bed, that I forgot my toothpaste. So what to do at 11:00 at night? Head down to the gift shop in the hotel. The little back shelf in most large hotels' gift shops are loaded with things like Advil, toothpaste, razors, etc. Just because folks, like me, most likely forgot them and are in urgent need. Helpful, right?
But boy, do they charge you for the convenience of popping into their gift shop...
Check out that receipt. YES! it is $7.44 for a tube of toothpaste. What makes it even worse is that it is a 4.4 ounce tube, so unless I check my bag when I return, I won't be taking it with me!
Ugggh! Oh well. Live and learn. Bet I never forget my toothpaste again! (In fact, I brought my dental floss and tooth brush, but forgot the paste. Years ago, i was forced to resort to using a thread from the sewing kit in the hotel room because I forgot the floss. Have used wash cloths over the years as brushes, but until this trip have never forgotten the paste.)

Your book has changed our family life. We have had more home-cooked dinners in the last two months than we have in three years. My children and husband love the recipes and I get all the credit!
